Interflex is part of a larger international support program involving several other countries, including Canada, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Denmark, and other NATO allies. The United Kingdom offers diverse training solutions, such as:

  • infantry tactics and combat skills;
  • medical training on the battlefield;
  • use of small arms and military equipment;
  • urban warfare tactics and defensive techniques;
  • skills for handling mines and explosives.

Instructors from participating countries conduct training with Ukrainian soldiers on United Kingdom territory. An intensive training program is completed in a short time to achieve new levels of confidence, refining skills, knowledge, and experience.

The Interflex mission is one of many initiatives created to provide Ukraine with critical military aid and support its military efforts against Russia’s full-scale aggression.

Support

A reservist is paid support for the time spent in reserve service, the amount and payment procedure of which are established by government regulation. The support is paid from the day of arrival at the place indicated on the training assembly summons until the end of participation in the training assembly.

A reservist is paid support for the time spent participating in a training assembly according to the main type of position as follows:

  • Soldier – 55 euros per day;
  • Non-commissioned officer – 60 euros per day;
  • Officer – 75 euros per day.

If a reservist is sent abroad for more than 14 days, they receive an additional support payment of 10 euros per day for the duration of their stay abroad.

Reservists who have an agreement with the Defence Forces to instruct other reservists in military training during training assemblies held under general defence readiness, or to organize other training necessary for the country’s military defence preparation, receive an additional 50 euros per day on top of the support mentioned in paragraph 1 during the instruction or training period.

Active-duty personnel receive their base salary, training allowance, and travel allowance for participation in training assemblies.

According to Estonian legislation, applicable taxes are deducted from the paid support, with rates and application procedures defined in the relevant legal acts.
